In 2013, over 80 volunteers helped to organise the project, and we are looking for more people to get involved this year. If you are interested in volunteering with Bath Green Homes, please fill in the volunteer survey or contact us directly on 01225 477 528 / email@example.com
There are a wide variety of volunteer roles:
Stewards: We need up to 50 stewards to support Home Openers during the Open Homes Weekend (27th & 28th September 2014). Stewards will meet and greet visitors, signpost information and help answer questions, gather feedback about the project, and help serve refreshments.
Publicity: helping with promotions, including leafleting, social media, and writing or placing articles in the local and not so local press
Film making & photography: Making a short film of the Open Homes Weekend, or of the Project in general, or creating images for an image bank
Creative help: making and decorating collection boxes, sewing bunting and making flags, and even cake baking!
Help with other events: The Bath Home Improvement Fair needs volunteers to help with the smooth running of the event, and the manning of the Bath Green Homes stall.
DIARY DATES FOR VOLUNTEERS!
When contacting us, please let us know your availability for these two events:
1. Volunteer briefing: Wednesday 3rd September, 6 for 6.30 to 8 pm, the Brunswick Room at the Guildhall, central Bath.
This is a key event where you will get the chance to meet other volunteers, the home openers and members of our project team and find out all the information you need about the Open Homes Weekend. *NB: We strongly encourage all volunteer stewards to attend this event as limited resources and time mean that we are unable to answer a lot of individual queries over the phone.
2. Celebration Event: Thursday 2nd October, 6 for 6.30 to 8 pm, No. 1 Royal Crescent
We are excited to announce this wonderful venue, provided courtesy of our project partners Bath Preservation Trust, for our after-event party to thank all home openers and volunteers involved in this year's project.
What are the benefits of getting involved?
- Increase your skills and knowledge
- Meet new and interesting people
- Do something positive and rewarding in your community
- Find out more about what you can do to make your own home more energy efficient
